Relatively new birder. Have always loved wildlife, animals and a keen interest in the natural world. Really got into bird watching over the past couple of years, didn't realise I would be quite so hooked. Originally from Essex but have lived in Derry Northern Ireland for the past 13 years, husband is from here. Have 2 rescued greyhound and 3 rescued cats - always seem to be taking in waifs and strays etc. Day job working with Mental Health (something has to pay to keep the animals in a life they have become accustomed to). Into nature, weather but also sci-fi/sci-fantasy films, Terry Pratchett and the weird & wonderful.
